  1. This is like one in Burnham on Sea. Which is stranded in the middle of suburbia.
    Thanks again Ruthie.

    2. Well that may be so Stasia, but my 96 year old cousin lives there so I visit.

As it happens I love mud flats and would love to live on an estuary.

Only last Sunday, when I had an hours wait at Portsmouth Harbour station, I stood at the windows looking yearningly at the mud flats in the harbour. I was remembering those summer holidays and queuing for the ferry, watching the little boys, called mudlarks my father told me.
They were diving into the mud to collect coins thrown by those in the queue above.

  2. That is imposing - great way to start the week ! Thank you, Ruthie.

  3. Thanks Ruthy.
I also think as stated on the old blog, that Kate has acted impulsively and entered into some sort of 'spiritual' business arrangement in Kent. Will Jenifer apply pressure on Brian to find money to bail Kate out? Brian and Jenifer, As ye sow, so shall ye reap,

    1. Interesting point stasia - Brian from the sound of it, may no longer be so supportive of Kate and her ‘hobby’ business. She never did exhibit ‘spirituality’ that I could see.

    2. Think you're right, Stasia - she probably did rush into a deal !

  4. A couple of questions
    1) Does anybody else think that the scriptwriters have forgotten about Pip's birthday treat from Toby?
She obviously can't take advantage of the gift yet a while.
I wonder if there is a time limit as to when she must use it?
    2) I can't get my head round this evening's party.
Why on earth would Ruth agree to such a party.?
    Who is paying?
    Who has been invited?
    Is it "Open House?"
Well ,we will hear 7 guests (including Jennifer , Ruth and David and possibly Jill or Pip) and others like Silent Ben and Josh will be mentioned.
Will Fallon look after the Bull so that Jolene and Kenton can attend.
What about Ruth's friends?Have any of them been invited?
    Can hardly wait to hear.
    Such excitement.

    1. I can answer some of your questions, LanJan. Ruth said she was very much looking forward to the party and an evening of being spoiled, so that answers 'why on earth would she agree...? and as regards The Bull, Fallon is doing the catering so may be at Home Farm, thus leaving The Bull n the capable hands of Ambridge's go to man and soon to be dad, Mr T❤️O❤️B❤️Y Fairbrother!

      Delete
    2. Ruth doesn’t know the location and details of her party, am I correct? Looking forward to her reaction to the chandelier 🎉 and jazz quartet.

      Delete
    3. Thank you,Maryellen.
Of course T❤️O❤️B❤️Y will take over.
On the other hand Ruth can hardly say that she isn't looking forward to her party.
Does she know who is being invited?
More to the point, has David been told how much the shindig is going to cost?
I imagine the music that Jennifer has arranged won't come cheap -nor the food.

  5. Helens cheese entry being focussed on The Food Programme right now,
And the high profile of TA in the nations consciousness being admitted.

  6. May I apologise for my comment above which was in answer to Stasia.
However, after posting it I realised that although my post was appropriate to Stasia's comment, it was not appropriate on this TA thread.

But I'm pretty sure that nobody will rap my knuckles on this occasion !

  7. I predict Pip will go into premature labour at the party. Hope Kenton dashes back to telieve T❤️O❤️B❤️Y atThe Bull so he can be with her for Junior's birth!

    ReplyDelete

    1. I had the same thought maryellen, but would it be too soon birth due to be at the end of July. However these things do happen!

      Delete
    2. I am thinking that, surely this would be too similar to the Helen/Henry birth, when Nigel died. I do not think that TA would even completate such a similar scenario.

      Delete
  8. I am expecting that Ruth will totally engage with and have a wonderful time at her wonderful 50th Birthday Celebration. Jennifer has certainly organised it. I don't envy David when he has to pay the final bill!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Congrats Miriam you were right. Happiness all round tonight a real treat!

      Delete
  9. Agree, Miriam, but, alas, can't rule out TA putting us through that hackneyed dramatic device - babies arriving unexpectedly in the midst of some other major event. It's possibly been signposted ? Pip growing huge, yawning, can't sleep etc. so it could well happen that Ruth becomes a granny on her 50th...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That is a good point, and I accept that idea, "Granny Ruth" on her 50th is very plausible. It is wait + hear.

      Delete
    2. I would prefer that Pips labour is more focused on a part of the Brookfield Farm, with Ruth to act as midwife and deliever the babe. She will then realise what a Grandma she is.

      Delete
    3. I'd like a scenario in which T❤️O❤️B❤️Y delivers his baby - drawing on his experience in the lambing shed!

      Delete
    4. Maryellen, your idea is probably right.

  10. Could hardly hear a word, or distinguish one young female voice from another, but, hurray, no labour agonies, everyone had a great time, most importantly, Ruth did, & Kenton evidently hit the spot with his bouncy castle. Really lovely moments between her & David, her & Jill. Only 2 minor sour moments in the background, both predictable; Kate getting drunk, Toby letting them down.

    1. I guess T❤️O❤️B❤️Y was single-handedly fighting a blaze at The Bull/Brookfield/Bert's while organising ambulances for any casualties....

    2. Or did Kate and Toby sneak off together ...

      Delete
    3. Agree about the young female voices Carolyn, I certainly did not recognise Phoebe for one until she was named! An appearance by Usha tonight.....now I can always identity her character.

    4. Zoetrope 8.25 p.m. That's exactly what I thought too. Jenny and Jill will find them when they get their coats.... how cynical I am. I'm glad Ruth enjoyed her party though.

      Delete
  11. I am confused.
I thought Toby was at the party but then apparently he was not answering his 'phone.
So ,Maryellen he was not taking care of the customers at The Bull so maybe Jolene was doing that.
Is the consensus that Pip has gone into labour and Toby has rushed off to Hospital with her and baby Tobyette will be premature?
I feel sure it will be a girl.
I thought that Ruth was very gracious in the way she thanked Jill for the brooch.
Shula likes brooches so might not be best pleased that her mum has given it away.
I think the whole village must have been invited to the party because otherwise why would Bert have been there?

    ReplyDelete

    1. LanJan - Bert has a special relationship with Brookfield. He lives in Brookfield Bungsalow. Shame we didn't get to hear his Ode to Ruth!

    2. Oh Maryellen, I can't agree with you there. We did hear a bit of it anyway...

      Delete
    3. LanJan I have just listened again as I thought Pip was furious withToby, and I can confirm that Ruth did say that she was.
So sorry Maryellen. it would appear he has let people down again.

    4. Aha, Cow Girl - that's what the scriptwriters want you to think! 😀 (Big smiley face!)

    5. And another thing - where was the so-called reliable Rex when a taxi was needed?

      Delete
    6. I think you are being a little harsh Maryellen. , Toby said he would take them home. If he was at the party I expect he had a drink and being the responsible young man he is, He would of course not drive

  12. An unexpectedly happy episode. I confess I expected either some great drama (possibly Pip-related) or just that Ruth would hate it and have to pretend not to. I enjoyed the party!

  13. I'm glad Ruth's party went well and wasn't upstaged by the Pipette/Tobyette. I have been on a bouncy castle and it is good fun. At least it wasn't Alice acting out alcohol related shanningons, like jumping out of a tree. She and Phoebe sounded very sensible spending their time looking after Kate.
Mistral, I do hope Kate isn't found under the coats with you know who, even though they have had an interlude in the past...

  14. I do wonder if Kenton just turned up with the "bouncy castle", unbeknowst by Jenny? Or did she agree?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh dear Maryellen, your boy has let you down, where is your big smiley face now ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 😀Big smiley faced still here., Cow Girl, due to immense relief that he wasn't dead in a ditch (bearing in mind what I was told about Sean O'Connor's long-term plans for Toby and Pip). Drunk or whatever, it didn't prevent him turning up in a fit state for,his shift at The Bull. Brookfield should have organised a taxi in the first place in stead of trading on his good nature.

      Delete
    2. Glad to hear he has at least one devotee.
Enlighten me please, what were Sean o Conners long term plans for Toby and Pip.

  16. In his self admitted drunk condition, could the same eternal boy have punctured the bouncy castle accidently with his tickling stick ?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Don't know how he did it but for sure T❤️O❤️B❤️Y is the culprit.
Is anyone else irritated by Christopher's "faux " accent?
He chats away and then suddenly realises that there should be an ooh ahhhh Goucestershire accent in there somewhere.

  18. I would have thought the bouncy castle would be insured by the owner with possibly an excess for damages.

    1. Me too, Cheshire Cheese. Owners of bouncy castles must have insurance, surely. There have been fatalities associated with bouncy castles: the arrangement surely can't have been so casual as it appeared.

  19. Hardly a whisper in TA about the royal wedding a few weeks ago, but almost an entire episode devoted to a football match tonight! Are all the SWs men?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We shouldn't assume that weddings are of interest to women, and football matches to men. Ideally. Sigh.

      Delete
    2. bootgums - Neither are in fact. Many men watched the R. Wedding and lots of women like football (as can be seen via this blog for one!) I think Archerphile's point ( with which I agree) is that the wedding was also a major event in the history of our country but was barely given airtime in comparison to tonight's episode. Wimbledon around the corner which Andy may yet make after nearly a year off - that would mean a slot in of course as recordings for that period probably in the can now!!!

      Delete
    3. I wouldn't say that royal wedding was a major event in the history of of this country though itight have been a major drain on the tax payer's purse, hopefully offset by increased tourist income. Butt it was easier to avoid the coverage than for the World Cup, and people generally weren't talking about it same extent as the football, so I think The Archers was a true reflection. Interesting to have an all male episode for once.

      Delete
    4. I agree with what you say ,Maryellen .
I also think that more women would have been interested in the World Cup than men interested in watching the wedding.
      I don't know one who did .
I watched England's match last night but only saw snatches of the wedding.
I felt sorry for the players.
They are used to playing football in cold wet conditions not in temperatures of over 20 degrees with a load of midgies to hinder them as well.

      Delete
    5. OK, I’ll just shut up then!

      Delete
    6. Oh Archerphile,we are all entitled to our opinion.
Yours is as important as anyone else's
I believe last night's viewing figures for the England Match were the highest ever.
Even the men of Ambridge who don't appear for the whole of the Season to support any Club(no I tell a lie I think someone supports Aston Villa like Prince William) were keen to watch The Match last night which was a lot more interesting than the Australian Innings in the Cricket is at the present moment
Funny that Harrison etc haven't had a word to say about our Games against the old enemy.

  20. Can't help wondering what the injury rate is with a bouncy castle at a party where the drink flows? Maybe one lady got on with high heels still on her feet! I agree with Cheshire Cheese & bootgums that insurance would be a certainty so why does Kenton have to pay for a replacement?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I thought I heard Kenton borrowed the bouncy castle from a friend? Not sure why SW had to turn Toby into his old self so close to the birth of baby Pip/Toby. I think they are setting him up for failure and Pip getting the upper hand.

  22. Seven men talking mostly about football, with a bit of bell ringing in between, Chris was right "not very appealing". Yawn yawn.

    1. Agree Stasia, a very boring episode for me too, but then it is good to have a break from too much excitement occasionally, especially after that noisy party!

      Delete
  23. I am very hopeful that a new team of Bell ringers will be on duty on 11/11/2018, 100 years after the true Armistice Day. Remeberance Sunday is actually on a Sunday this year. It is so appropriate.
I wonder if the enormity of this day, and what it means to so many, once it is explained to the youngsters in Ambridge, would it make a difference? I hope so!
A peal of bells from St. Stephens will be fitting and so many Ambridge residents, will so appreciate it.
I have a copy of a photo from 1900, with my Great grandfather, and his family. It shows one of his son's, Will, dressed in a sailors uniform. He was killed in WW1. My younger sister has done a lot of research into our family tree, and she eventually found out where "Will" was buried, even down to the cemetery and the plot no. She went to Belgium and found his grave, and I have a copy of a photo of it. It's very touching.

    1. Both my grandfathers, and all my great uncles (6 of them) all served in WW2, for its entirity, and all returned home safe, to be re-united with, what I call "My Family". After all, my family today, who I know and love, is due to them!

I really wish that there will be an Armistice peal of bells in Ambridge.

    2. They are going to have to get their skates on. I learnt to ring as a young teenager, and know that young people aren't going to want to practise more than once a week , and at that rate they will be lucky to be able to ring safely and successfully by November. It might be possible if they have an experienced ringer either side to keep them steady in the peal . I only ring now if the team is short of ringers, and my favourite ringing has been for weddings. I have seen some beautiful weddings over the years. Beats football any day!

  24. I like that you recognise that fact, Miriam, so many of your family fighting in WW2, surviving, creating your generation & all that followed. It's quite something.
Tonight - why is Rex behaving like a prat ? It seems he's disappointed Anisha isn't jealous ! BTW, nice to hear her again. How straightforward she is.

  25. I hear that Lilian has not lost the dreadful cackle whilst she has been absent from the radio.
    I agree Esscee.
A non episode if ever I heard one.
I reckon we have several of these in case something really important happens and then the whole episode can be replaced

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree with Essicee and LanJan - I thought the scriptwriters must be taking the Michael tonight, with such a pathetic episode. But agree with you , Carolyn, that it was good to hear Anisha's voice again.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like the odd episode in which nothing much happens. Better than constant torrid melodrama.

Anisha wasn't jealous about Xanthe. She was a little bit jealous about Pip though.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, I reckon she was, too, Bootgums, perhaps not entirely without reason. Silly Rex - he's so lucky to have landed Anisha - Pip does not compare. Gosh, why am I bothering to speculate about these banal people suffering an extended adolescence ? Lynda & Lil are quite as bad in their own way ( more 9-10 yr. olds), but at least they're funny with it.

  28. I agree bootgums - I also like a 'quiet' episode. More like real life too.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I like "quiet "but not boring rubbish like the conversation between Lynda and Lilian
      How stupid was that?

  29. I think I have lost the plot somewhere along the line.
Where was it that Zanthe tried to seduce Rex?
If it was at Ruth's party ,what was Zanthe doing there?
As far as I know she hasn't been mentioned before.
I don't know how old Anisha is but I think she is more mature than Rex in age and behaviour and although he is a nice pleasant lad he is maybe a tad boring unlike his more flamboyant brother.
Is Anisha worried she needs to get her skates on?
I think too,Caolyn that Rex is still holding a candle for Pip.

    1. I agree, Pip is still tugging at Rex heartstrings even though he thinks not.
And possibly Pip feels the same.
      I still imagine P and R together, albeit a rerun of Emma/ Will /Ed.

  30. I Am a fan of Lillian and did miss her, but when she started laughing and cackling during the interaction with Lynda, I began to question my sanity. Then I had to remind myself that she can be kind and caring, or is that delusional thinking?
Won't the animal fest organisers need to have a vet in attendance?
Lynda and Montgomery, she has control over Robert, however her training skills are zilch.
The only Montgomery worth having IMO is edible. But will Monty devour Ruby?

  31. Just reviving Basia's and my theory that Toby and Pip would have unexpected twins.....

    ReplyDelete
  32. Twins run in the family so like you and Basia,Maryellen I have thought that might happen.
    One of each?
On the other hand I think she might have been told by now if that is on the cards.
What names have you come up with ,Maryellen?
Will there be a Jill in there somewhere to upset Ruth ?
Alexander is popular now as are names like Ernie,Archie ,Albert,Frankie.
    I don't know about names for girls-Connie,Kitty,Milly ,Ellie ?
(I once taught a class of girls where nearly all their names ended with "a"
    Anna,Catriona,Franchesca ,Christina etc.
    Lovely names .
In my opinion much nicer than the "een" names of my generation like Kathleen,Doreen,Maureen ,Eileen
Apologies if I have picked one our name.

  33. Inspired choices ! Both referring, fairly obliquely, to the 'magical' & unexpected result of a brief rekindling.....(happen to know a Merlin, aged 26, cool enough to bear the weight of his name lightly, & loads more interesting than either of the fair-brothers)
Don't know how soon twins can be detected ?? Still, comment has been made about Pip being big at this stage of pregnancy.

    1. I believe it is possible for on baby to be behind the other therefore giving the impression of just one, so maybe that will happen - what will Pip do then 😮 I also think Rex still has feelings for Pip. So Anisha "popped" in last night but no worries apparently regarding Alastair and Shula's split re The Practice etc....

  40. In fact I have a bone to pick with the scriptwriters who went out of their way to make the whole thing as tacky as possible. The last time it happened between Kate and Toby was after they had a drunken dip in the pool with the sheep dip? This time it was after Ruth's birthday party and it has spoiled the image for me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What a bunch of smart bloggers, eh ? Tick, tick, tick, right down to the punctured bouncy castle !
Toby's promises had a hollow ring tonight, but, much as I, for one, have little time for Pip, she came out of the 'revelation' with dignity & she's demonstrably free of any lingering feelings she might have had for that shallow & unreliable boy.
Well done, Alice. Kate is unspeakable.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I just thought of the sad situation, when a bouncy castle was not properly secured and this resulted in the death of a 3yr old. Whatever happened on Ruths 50th Birthday Bouncy Castle, it just doesn't compare.
    Sorry for this post!
I so hope that Kate goes with Freddie, to South Africa. Will either of these characters be missed?
I so want to hear more from Hannah + possibly Jazzer.

  43. All credit to Pip for remembering that, having made it crystal clear that having a child together does not make her and T❤️O❤️B❤️Y an item, she has no grounds for complaining of flings with other women on her own behalf - only on behalf of their child when born. No vows of mutual fidelity were exchanged, Toby is currently a free agent, as is Kate, and this is the 21st century - so where's the problem? He has now promised fidelity in future for their child's sake and I have no doubt will keep to it.

I think the increasing characterisation of Kate is now complete. She cannot be made to look worse!

    1. Brookfield were trading outrageously on T❤️O❤️B❤️Y's good nature by expecting him not to drink at the party in order to give them a lift home and save on the taxi fare. How mean was that! As things were, it was no big deal to order one. Some promises deserve to be broken. (And having it off on a bouncy castle does sound fun!)

  45. Pip have your cake and eat it too. Did I miss something? Did Toby promised that he will not date or have sex ever again? Although I do ask why with Kate. This show is a sorry mess.

    1. I'm with you Ruthy, why would Toby have to promise celibacy to Pip when they are not a couple - just friends with benefits (which has resulted in them now about to share parenthood) Although do I remember Pip wanting to be more than friends once Toby had decided he did not, or was that with Rex?
Guess we have to wait now to see if Kate is about to be pregnant as well...
(Let's not forget poor Roy who is also on a sex ban 😉)

  46. Yep, lady R, if anyone deserves a turn on the bouncy castle, it's Roy !
Pip is not unreasonable here, the deal between her & Toby is clear, it's to do with child responsibility, nothing else. She did not berate him over Kate, only for breaking a promise (not unknown with this person)
This wasn't a student bash, bodies expected on every surface the next morning, but a party to celebrate a 50th birthday. Fun to be had, drink to be drunk, flirtation even, but hardly the tasteless, inappropriate fumblings of an immature, pouting 40 yr old, & an overgrown lad.

Where was everybody else whilst the Bouncy Castle duo were having their bit of fun?
Why was Toby chosen to be taxi driver?
Can't remember who he was supposed to be taxiing
Surely most of them live within walking distance from The Bull and if not ,a taxi wouldn't have cost much .

    2. Agree Carolyn - you summed it up very well. Pip, Toby and Kate are all free agents it's just that Kate chose to tell all and everybody and it'll be all over the village next. BBC Radio 4 trying to attract the 'younger' (?) audience idea, I hope they have more sense and don't listen to such trash. Unfortunately I seem to be stuck, my choice entirely.

    3. Basia - 1 it was my impression that Kate thought Kenton needed to be told about the bouncy castle and expected Toby to have done so. T was initially trying to protect her reputation.

  47. Kate and Toby, two of the silliest ADULTS in Ambridge, they are well matched in the parenthood stakes. Bouncy castles are normally quite robust, so how could they have damaged it? Did Toby have something pointy and sharp on his person?
Do they have the money to pay for the repair, as Kate indicated?

Mainly, she was sympathetic & encouraging whereas in the recent past she found her mother very irritating, not in tune with her at all. She also called Hayley 'mum' & Kate, quite pointedly, ' Kate'. I do not remember any conciliatory scenes, as happened with Noluthando, where the relationship was even worse.

    1. My thoughts exactly Carolyn- I was stunned at the turnaround!

  50. Phoebe has learned from Auntie Alice that when one mentions a word like"her" one pronounces it as if it were spelt h a r .
Quite a lot of the accents in Ambridge are strange.
We heard George briefly for example when he was about 12 speaking in a rather posh -not as posh as Phoebe- accent.
I am waiting to hear what Ruari and Ben sounds like when they return.
Re Kate giving Phoebe a massage I thought it was because she was her mother.
I would have hated my mother giving me a massage
I can actually do without Joe ,Mrs P..
I don't find him convincing as a 95 year old

    1. What about Chris! I'm sure I've heard his voice portrayed as both normal and with a country accent. Or am I muddled - voices never used to be such a problem 🙄

  51. The one thing I think we can be certain of is that Kate won't be pregnant.
After all we have had two pregnancies recently -Kirsty and Pip-which came about due to one night stands .
Any more and it would be more Catherine Cookson than Catherine Cookson.

  52. I thought exactly the same thing. Meaning the tattoo comment.

  53. I am of the same opinion as Eddie that the birds intervening was a blessing in disguise and William can't find the time in his schedule to fit in another appointment with the solicitors, let's leave it at that.

  54. Couldn't agree more, Basia. Never seen Eddie as a fount of wisdom, but he's dealt with Will, & opined about him, in a shrewd & sensible way since Nic's death. Will is always on the defensive - in this he should let everything unfold naturally, let time show what Jake & Mia really need, & want.

  55. What creditionals does Kate have as a masseur, and does she understand the physiology and anatomy of the body? I too would be wary, although I agree with others that perhaps Phoebe does have a tattoo, hence her reluctance to partake in Kate's offer of a massage. In my imagination I can visualise Kate with a butterfly or two tattooed on her shoulder or ankle. Maybe Toby will let us know, if he can remember.
"Everyone loves ferrets" says Joe. Sorry Joe, but I don't.

  56. Nor me Stasia - love ferrets, that is. Nasty little things with very sharp teeth! Never forgotten an interview the late, much lamented Richard Whiteley (of Countdown) did with a ferret owner in the Look North studio. The ferret bit through Richard’s hand and just wouldn’t let go - the ferret owner had to prise it off, leaving Richard injured!

    1. Polecat ferrets can be lovely and tame BUT having said that someone years ago must have been ferreting in our fields and lost one down a rabbit burrow (sometimes they will eat a rabbit down in the burrow instead of chasing them out and then curl up and go to sleep for hours) . It must have gone in our pet goose's shed down in the orchard for shelter and we shut the door for the night not knowing it was there and it bit through our wonderful goose's neck in the night. Daughter, young at the time, went to let pet goose out in the morning and then floods of tears. I had to send her to friends while I located someone in another village who kept and liked ferrets to come and have this one . I had persuaded it into a cat basket, and it was a beautifully coloured polecat, but not surprisingly I didn't want to keep the wretched thing, and also not surprisingly none of the local ferreters were owning up to it being their one. I would have rung the owners neck. It was a wonderful goose, and it's eggs made lovely cakes. No one to this day has owned up to it being their ferret, and I am still annoyed about it!

  57. Eddie, I would agree is not a fount of wisdom, but he is often shrewd and indeed perceptive, about looking at the wider picture when it is is other people that he is opining about.
It is only when he is up to tricks concerning himself that he is a fool.
I seem to remember writing some weeks ago, that Eddie should intervene in Wills attitudes to the children.

Despite her past opinions of her mother, Phoebe seemed to me to be showing some empathy towards Kate.
We do change our minds and attitudes towards others in some situations.
But yes, its convenient for the storyline.

  58. .................and who will pay the several hundred pounds per hour that a Lawyer will cost?
Not a very bright thing to do Usha , suggesting that Kate should get legal advise.

  59. But Kate has been profiled recently to be a good business woman, with a profitable and viable ongoing concern. She surely would have her own solicitor in place esp with her wanting to sell her Home Farm Share. Aah, but Daddy Brian will not be paying the fees.

  60. If Kate starts a legal battle then Brian will go to jail and she to South Africa.

  61. Given the financial & physical support Kate had in the first place to set up her enterprise, AND the land made available, she has not proved herself a good business woman. There was a lot of talk, awafting of incense, & she hired some qualified people to administer the treatments. She had a modest success, but not enough to support herself independently. Surely Brian was being ironic when he referred to her being 'a businesswoman'.
She certainly isn't a masseuse ! She nearly fried Usha alive, as she whined away. In fact, Usha was so shaken up after the 'treatment' she'd been looking forward to, that her usual common sense deserted her...

    1. Personally I would have wanted a refund if I were Usha, lovely relaxing music in the background ready to enhance her much looked forward to wind down treatment then Kate banging on about her own (perceived) problems the whole way through it 😡
Like Mrs P the new format of our blog threw me I thought something had gone wrong so very relieved to know it is a "new Ruthy format" - fine by me 👏😀
