OUR 2ND ANNIVERSARY!
In this strange, bewildering & sometimes scary world
that we are living in at the moment, I think we should all take this opportunity to post ONE message on this blog to salute ourselves!
We WILL get through this...
We WILL get through this...
I've met some of you. I feel as if know all of you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for allowing me to babble/share/laugh/argue with you for the past 2 years.
Please take care, and hopefully I will meet more of you in the not too distant future...
Cheers, Gary.
ReplyDeleteChin chin, friends.
Mine's a cider.
Three cheers for Gary!
ReplyDeleteThree for Ruthie for launching our little life raft when the worst thing on the horizon was the closure of the BBC blog.
And three for all of us - for friendship, laughter and encouragement. May the good ship Archersfan help us steer through the choppy waters ahead.
At least in here we don't have to self-isolate - apart from those of you who've already allowed yourselves to be cast adrift on Gary's multiple islands, of course ; )
Cheers indeed Gary. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a word from Ruthie to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteDitto ✅
DeleteYou have said it all ,Old Woman.
DeleteThank you so very much Ruthie and Gary
Thanks to Ruthie and Gary for allowing us to express our thoughts on The Archers and many other topics. This has been a lifeline during the weeks of lock down.
ReplyDeleteWell done Ruthy and Gary and those who read only please join us like last year.
ReplyDeleteMuch love and gratitude to Ruthie for rescuing us when the BBC shut us down.
ReplyDeleteA whopping great medal and a vat of his favourite whisky to Garry for taking over and encouraging, entertaining and organising us so brilliantly since Ruthie left.
And thanks to all the regular and occasional fellow bloggers who, apart from being Archers fanatics like me, have become friends too.
Here’s to the next 12 months, hopefully in good health for us all. πΎπ₯

Before posting I sat and ππ» for Gary our very own “key worker” π (and of course Ruthie ππ» for ensuring were able to stay together after the BBC closed us down)
ReplyDeleteWe certainly won’t forget the worldwide circumstances of our 2nd anniversary, sending thanks to each and every blogger not only in GB but around the world π for your virtual friendship keep safe and π₯° to you all.
There aren't many sites l can visit and find witty and thoughtful comments which make me laugh out loud sometimes and make me ponder. I have to say there are even less sites where people can disagree in a friendly manner. Final bit: a really sincere, "Thank you" to Ruthie and Gary.
ReplyDeleteMy thanks too to both Ruthie and Gary, this blog has brought me a great deal of pleasure, long may we continue π₯

DeleteI have never met any others - but I feel I know you all.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky, we were, when Ruthy, set up and so gave us, this wonderful alternative TA site, and now GG is doing a magnificantly, keeping it going onwards.
Yes we sometimes disagree, but more often than not, we dp agree - about TA and The Life in Ambridge.
I love TA, and long may it continue, as we are all doing.
As so often, Shakespeare got it right: Ruthie and Gary, “for this relief, much thanks!” xx
ReplyDeleteHow Lucky, we are.
DeleteI'm so happy to be part of this wonderful blog......long may it continue.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Ruthy and Gary πππ
I am now lifting my glass of G+T, to applaud this wonderful site, 2 years on.
ReplyDeleteCheers, All. ππ
Hic...
2 years! I can’t believe it. I’m so grateful for Ruthie starting this blog, and it was great to meet her, and for Gary taking over the mantle. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteI do feel like I’ve made a load of new friends on here and have loved meeting up with some of you. May it long continue when we come out of this black hole and back into the sun light.
Bottoms up one and all. πΈπ
Happy anniversary to us all and a big thank you to the captains of our lifeboat, Ruthie and Gary. π☀️π·πΈπΉππΉπΈπ·☀️π
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to us all! My toast will have to be a virtual one . I don't drink much alcohol at the best of times but with antibiotics it might be tempting fate!
ReplyDeleteI have learnt so much, from so many people here.
I send my best wishes to everyone.
Let's hope we can have some more meet ups, north, south, east and west when we have got through the horrible times we are having at the moment!
The Cushion! π
Happy Anniversary friends and thanks for all the sharing, much needed at the moment. Stay well and keep blogging π€π
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Ruthie, I still remember your lovely humming birds. Many thanks Gary for all the time you spend organising this blog, and for your clever distraction technique in these troubled times; and thank you everyone for your companionship. π
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all involved. I love following everybody's contributions.☺
ReplyDeleteI don't often comment but do like to read all the comments made by other bloggers, agreeing with some & not quite agreeing with others. Thank you Gary & Ruthy.
ReplyDeleteThat should be agreeing with most :-))
ReplyDeleteThank you Gary for keeping the blog going and looking after it so well. I really do enjoy reading everyone's comments, more often it is the Life Outside Ambridge I enjoy reading the most!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you all! π ππ£
Join in.. but it is addictive. π
DeleteThank you Gary for keeping the blog going, and for your wonderful and witty blog headers, and of course thank you Ruthie for the original lifeboat two years ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you too to all the contributors who make these blogs such an interesting read - I lost impetus to post some time so, when repeated attempts to get in failed, but I often pop in to read all the updates. I wonder if I'll be able to post this anniversary greeting?
Good to see you back posting again Minty.
DeleteSorry you've had trouble posting.
Do try again on the main blog having been successful today.
Thank you all. I've found you.
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to read your comments. Like Phoenix I don't often comment now but I raise a glass, or two to you all.
